00:00 What a wonderful turnout to celebrate the beginning of what I understand is the 12th

00:11 anniversary of this wonderful festival. Festival of the people, festival of the amateurs,

00:24 the lovers of the arts as well as the professionals. This is a great city for the arts,

00:34 known throughout the country for its music, its poetry, its drama, its artistry,

00:45 the Palant House and the Ox Market and it is thrilling to know that people such as you

00:54 and people in the past and in the future are ready to support this. We all have a talent,

01:06 some of us have more than one and we have an obligation to recognise that talent, to nourish it

01:16 with the help of mentors sometimes who spot in us a seed of something that is worth nourishing

01:29 and sometimes they provide the opportunities for it to flourish. In this wonderful city

01:41 which celebrates and is joyous in the knowledge of its artistic productions,

01:55 we have among the people, people of great talent and we must honour that, encourage it

02:07 and this is a time so to do. So those of us who are, not those of us, but those of you

02:21 who are shy about acknowledging your talent, come out, enjoy it, celebrate it, share it with us.
