This is claims continue to circulate that there is an outbreak of the disease

at the Enterprise Government Primary School.

Education Minister Dr. Nian Gadsby-Dawley revealed that a parent of two students

tested positive for the disease and is being treated.

However, she says the children are not contagious.

The Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers Association tutor is expressing concern.

As it says, it remains dissatisfied with the ministry's slow action in sanitizing the school

The Education Minister is appealing to parents to keep their children at home when they are ill

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which is based in Atlanta, Georgia, says

Hansen's disease is an infection caused by a slow-growing bacteria.

It can affect the nerves, skin, eyes, and the lining of the nose,
