04:51 Traditional methods are based on the human eye, and the observation of the eye only perceives the spectra that are visible, i.e. the red, green, blue, RGB.
05:03 But for our solutions, they can see the infrared and the ultraviolet, which gives them the ability to detect the disease in a precocious way,

06:46 El Mahdi, do you have any expansion or adaptation projects of your solutions to other regions or specific cultures?
06:57 Thanks to our collaboration with Tanzania, we won a Pitch AgriHack prize there, and we represented Morocco well.

07:07 So this collaboration helps us to expand on a continental scale, and our data collection operations also in these regions

07:19 We aim to continue this expansion and go to other regions, such as North America and Europe.
07:25 And how do you measure the environmental impact of your approach today?
07:33 At DeepLeaf, our approach to impact measurement is based on field experimentation on experimental farms by culture and by region.
07:42 Thanks to field experiments, we were able to identify that our solutions reduce pesticide consumption by up to 6% within the first three weeks.
07:52 After two months, the solutions go through a prevention stage,
07:55 which means we are reducing consumption to 20% or 30% since the treatment is targeted by geolocation on the farm.
08:05 What are the perspectives of DeepLeaf in terms of technological innovation for agriculture in Morocco, since you are in the kingdom?
08:15 We have a vision to allow farmers who use DeepLeaf solutions to have pesticide-free certificates to be able to export their products without hesitation.
08:30 DeepLeaf's innovation will not only limit itself to disease detection, of course.
08:34 We will move on to other stages, to a responsible, resilient agriculture, which will face climate change.
08:40 We will include other aspects of agriculture, such as irrigation and fertilization.
08:45 We wanted to democratize access to this technology by breaking the communication barrier between farmers of any size and the technology.
08:55 Today, your workshop is based in Ben Guerir. You said earlier that you were about to move to Casablanca.
09:07 Tell us a little about that. How is it going to happen exactly?
09:11 In Casablanca, we have just launched a robotic workshop where we will work on agricultural robots and also on other assistant robots for other fields.
09:24 It is a collaboration with You Investor. It is a fruitful collaboration.
09:31 We already had a very good vision of how we will start manufacturing by using 3D printers, laser cutters, etc.

09:58 I wanted to say that this experience that I have just shared now and all this roadmap that I have lived, it was not planned.

10:21 I want to tell young people who want to start entrepreneurship, who want to leave their laboratories and bring their innovation to the world and market it, to take the first step.
