00:04 of Communication, Culture and Tourism, Fernán Yáñez, held a media meeting in order to
00:09 explain Venezuela's position on the territorial controversy with Guyana over the territory
00:15 of Guyana-Esquiva.
00:16 During the event, Foreign Minister Gyal ratified that the only way to solve the dispute over
00:21 the Guyanese-Guyana-Esquiva is by allowing for a peaceful and diplomatic dialogue between
00:26 Venezuela and Guyana.
00:29 In this sense, they also offered details on the dialogue to be held on Thursday in St.
00:33 Vincent and Ignatius between the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, as his counterpart
00:38 of the cooperative Republic of Guyana, Irfan Ali, in order to discuss matters related to
00:43 the border controversy over the Guyana-Esquiva.
00:51 On the other hand, Venezuela's Executive Vice President, José Rodríguez, praised
00:55 the lags in CARICOM's efforts, as well as those leaders of the region, to bring about
01:00 the upcoming dialogue between Venezuela and Guyana on the Esquiva.
