00:00 It's nice because it's right in the centre of the urban landscape,
00:03 so it's a bit of a surprise as you walk around the corner.
00:06 So I was saying that you've got the ones out in Dun and Massey
00:08 and places like that, but you have to drive to those.
00:10 This is really accessible, easy to get to after work, so it's great.
00:14 A huge twinkling light trail has arrived at Manchester City Centre's
00:17 newest park for the festive season.
00:19 This Christmas, the Twilight Trail is set to illuminate Manchester
00:23 at Mayfield Park from Friday the 17th of November
00:26 until Sunday the 31st of December.
00:29 This brand new winter light show has taken over the 6.5 acre park
00:33 and visitors can expect to see never before seen immersive light displays,
00:38 lantern installations and a captivating soundscape.
00:41 There's also a host of festive traders, including a mulled wine bar,
00:45 a hot chocolate hut and a sweet emporium selling a range of treats
00:49 such as candy floss and freshly made warm donuts.
00:53 Honestly, it's beautiful.
00:54 We come in and we've just been blown away by how lovely the lights look
00:57 and how Christmassy it is and it's just really nice to come down
01:00 and do something festive.
01:01 Especially when it's not raining, it makes such a difference, doesn't it?
01:04 So, yeah, it's really, really special for the kids as well to experience.
01:06 Kids are loving it.
01:07 Yeah.
01:08 With the music and stuff and the experience and the atmosphere
01:10 really makes a difference.
01:11 So, yeah.
01:12 Yeah, we've been to ones in the past, but this is really lovely.
01:15 And, you know, it's really, really good value as well
01:18 compared to something that you can't see.
01:19 I think it's been really interesting to see.
01:21 It's nice that things like this are coming into the city centre
01:24 as opposed to being out in the suburbs traditionally,
01:27 you know, in the country parks.
01:28 But now we've got our first kind of green space,
01:32 new big green space in the city.
01:34 It's nice that things and events like this can happen,
01:37 you know, for people living in the city and visiting the city.
01:40 It looks to be as good, if not better, because it is a lot more accessible
01:44 to everyone because of the transport link.
01:47 So it means that you get a lot more people.
01:50 So that makes it a lot more exciting.
01:52 And yeah, it's quite a good vibe here today, you know,
01:55 because Manchester, there's so many different cultures
01:58 and a really exciting place to live.
02:00 It would be really good to just make sure that that doesn't disappear
02:03 going forward, you know, that there's always something for us to do.
02:07 It's absolutely brilliant.
02:08 Fantastic. Yeah.
02:09 Really great for the kids.
02:11 Eeeh, Seth!
02:13 It's the music.
02:13 I love the music as well.
02:15 It's like being in a nightclub.
02:17 Oh, it is?
02:18 Don't judge you.
02:19 No, it's really good.
02:20 It's really impressive.
02:22 I think it's fantastic.
02:23 It's good for the children as well.
02:24 It's good to come out in all this time for the children.
02:26 Yeah, it's really fab.
02:28 Yeah. And it's good that the park is open as well for the kids.
02:31 Very impressed.
02:32 We've come up from London and we're sightseeing around Manchester.
02:36 So we thought we'd stop off here.
02:39 And so far, so good.
02:41 Yeah, yeah, really good.
02:43 Really enjoying it.
02:44 There's so much colour
02:46 and the tree is absolutely beautiful.
02:50 The tree in the middle.
02:51 It's really lovely.
02:52 What a great use of space that's hardly ever been used.
02:55 It's just come massively to life.
02:57 Really works in the space.
02:58 I'm here with a team from work and we're all just loving it.
03:01 And we're looking forward to the rest of it.
