00:00 Situated just 8 miles from Edinburgh and 2 miles from Musselburgh town centre, you can find a scenic and tranquil holiday park that provides a peaceful holiday getaway whilst benefiting from a host of nearby attractions.
00:15 Tremor Camping and Glamping Site has been in business since 1981 but in the last two years new owners, WCF, have invested over a million pounds into the holiday park and it's now one of 33 5 star rated caravan and camping parks in the country.
00:32 We spent a weekend in one of the luxury lodges and our stay there did not disappoint.
00:38 The luxury lodges are available in two or three bedrooms. The lodges come fully furnished with a large living and dining room area, one master bedroom with en suite toilet, two other double bedrooms and a second shower bathroom in the hall.
00:53 Within the self catering lodges guests will find a well equipped kitchen with modern features including an induction hob.
01:00 Facing north visitors can enjoy sea views from the spacious veranda where there's also outdoor seating, a barbecue and a very large hot tub.
01:09 Set across 10 acres the site also offers bespoke glamping units and 126 pitches available for camping and touring vehicles.
01:19 There's also a new play park for children, a forest trail on site, a licensed shop selling local produce, a new indoor campers kitchen and two amenity blocks.
01:32 During your stay you'll find plenty to do in the area with the beach right on the doorstep and other picturesque settings including the John Muir Way.
01:41 Just minutes from the holiday park you'll find Preston Grange Museum where you can take a trip back in time to East Lothian's industrial past.
01:49 The site enjoys great transport links making it easy to visit Musselburgh, Edinburgh and places further afield.
01:55 To see a full list of attractions you can find a detailed selection that staff have provided on the company website.
02:02 It's the best of both worlds really because it is so quiet in this area, there's so lovely beaches, countryside, a lot of tourist attractions here in East Lothian itself.
02:11 But we're just a short distance from the city of Edinburgh from the hustle and bustle if they want it.
02:16 We've got regular transport links, bus and rail services to get you into the city in no time at all.
02:22 We have 12 lodges with and without hot tubs which have been fully refurbished.
02:27 We've got the Melville Retreat which is also a holiday let with a large garden at the back with hot tub.
02:35 We have 21 glamping units. The glamping units, there's quite a few of them so there's some themed ones that are in there.
02:44 We have a Harry Potter inspired, wizard themed, we've got a fairy and also a commando adventure one which have been very popular.
02:54 Our guests, it's basically a bit of everything. We have families that come even from local areas.
03:02 We have quite a large number of foreign visitors that will come over, mainly in the summer time.
03:08 A lot of them will come as rallies, so German and Dutch visitors are probably our most popular.
03:14 They'll come in maybe 25 units at a time, come off the ferry down at Newcastle and then stay here for a few nights before they do the North Coast 500.
03:23 It breaks it up a little bit. We've also got couples, it's a range of everything really.
03:30 Staff at Tremor recently had a cause for celebration when they were awarded 5 stars by Visit Scotland this year.
03:37 It was amazing. We've worked really hard for it over the past couple of years and as soon as we got the 5 star, it was tremendous.
03:46 The support that we're getting from WSAF as a company is great.
03:50 It showed that we're able to give something back. They've put in so much money and effort and time and our team have worked really hard to get that.
03:57 It was an amazing time for us.
