Hibs correspondent reacts to thumping win over Livingston.
Transcript
00:01So that problem Hibs were having with taking chances, not such a big problem now.
00:07That was a real thumping, a 4-0 win over Lewinson there.
00:11And I hesitate to say it, but a star is born.
00:15He was outstanding today, scored the first, won the penalty for the second.
00:21Only slightly overshadowed by Junior Hoylet coming on and scoring two goals off the bench.
00:27But Klee Jay, the summer record signing, hasn't made many starts.
00:30That was only his second lead start for Hibs.
00:33Part of that, as David Gray has said, has just been the form of the guys in front of him.
00:36You know, Bowie and Boyle in particular.
00:39But he really impressed today.
00:41Probably not as clinical in front of goal as he would have liked to have been,
00:44which shows you there's still room for improvement there.
00:47His movement was good, his first, you know, the goal he scores is excellent.
00:51Great feet.
00:52You'd think the defender's going to get there and he's got that little extra burst of acceleration.
00:56He was a handful, a pest, looked good alongside.
01:00Very loyal and lively when he came on.
01:03It was a day when Hibs really dominated Lewiston though.
01:06Dan Barlazar was excellent centre midfield.
01:08Jamie McRae, who limped off, so hopefully not a problem there,
01:12to go back to Aberdeen next weekend.
01:15Listen, there wasn't a sub-par performance by anyone on the whole team.
01:22They just dominated Lewiston in every single area of the park.
01:26And, thing that will please Gray as much as the clean sheet is, they took their chances,
01:31which is something that hasn't been happening much this season.
01:34I think we've talked about it and written about it, certainly,
01:38about that they've been creating chances, all the stats and everything back that up.
01:42They've been creating chances, just not putting them away.
01:44That's a way to answer that.
01:47And now it makes the week between now and Aberdeen next Sunday a lot easier for everyone involved.
