The Prime Minister says that during his trip to Saudi Arabia, there were discussions regarding this country's mothballed oil refinery in Point-a-Pierre.

That facility was closed in late 2018 when Trinidad Petroleum Holdings Limited replaced Petrotrin as the State-owned oil company.

However, during a media conference on Monday, the Prime Minister did not give any details such as exactly who in Saudi Arabia may be interested in the local oil refinery.
