Lyn Bloodworth is retiring after 38 years. Staff and well-wishers are having a surprise farewell for her at Tesco Cosham

00:04 Festival of Cushions. I've been here 37 years, retiring today.

00:09 It's been a pleasure working here, I've enjoyed it.

00:12 Made some lovely friends, colleagues, customers.

00:15 It's really a friendly place, and I shouldn't sit alone.

00:19 Yeah, and tell us a little bit about what happened this morning.

00:22 Oh, I didn't know what was going on. I came in, worked in the kiosk, worked in Cushions.

00:27 And then I got told to go upstairs, what the retirement was.

00:31 And they were all there, all my old colleagues that I worked with years ago, all my friends.

00:37 A load of staff that work here, and it was a really surprise. Overwhelming.

00:41 So it was lovely.

00:43 And then you turned up, and that was even more surprising.

00:47 And finally, a message to your colleagues as well as the customers that you've been serving for the last...

00:55 It's been a pleasure working here for 37 years.

00:58 Made loads of friends, customers.

01:01 And it's been a pleasure, and I will be sitting alone.

01:28 Look, just from me, obviously this is my second reign here, and you've got some other store managers that have been here before.

01:40 You've been truly amazing in everything and anything you do.

01:43 Nothing's ever too much trouble.

01:47 You've just been an amazing colleague, like, through the time I've been here.

01:51 And you've done throughout your 37 years, so you're going to be surely missed.
