00:00 As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.
00:07 Alhamdulillahi wa kafaa.
00:11 Wasalamu ala ibadihi allatheena istafa.
00:16 Amma ba'd.
00:17 Wa a'uzu billahi minash shaitanir rajim.
00:19 Bismillahir rahmanir rahim.
00:21 Ya ayyuhallatheena aamanu, la tubtilo sadaqatikum bil manni wal adhaa.
00:26 Subhana rabbika rabbil 'izzati 'amma yasifoon, wa salamun 'ala al-mursaleen.
00:31 Walhamdulillahi rabbil 'alameen.
00:33 Allahumma salli 'ala sayyidina wa nabiyyina Muhammad, wa 'ala aali sayyidina wa habibina Muhammad, wa barik wa sallim.
00:40 We talked about this in the last episode that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has distributed wealth.
00:49 Wealth is something that is necessary to run the world.
00:53 Everything comes from wealth.
00:56 Whether it is food, clothing, clothing, house, car, and in short anything.
01:04 Whether it is the fees for the school for the children.
01:06 Wealth is needed for everything.
01:08 Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has made wealth a means of living in the world.
01:12 It is a reason.
01:13 But Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has given more wealth to some people and less to some people.
01:17 And in this too there is the wisdom of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
01:20 Because if everyone had a certain amount of wealth then the world system would not have been able to run.
01:25 Some people run shops, some people set up a shed, some people do plumbing, some people become carpenters, some people do management of companies.
01:36 Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has given different abilities of the mind and different wealth.
01:41 This is the system of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
01:43 But along with this, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has given more wealth to those people who spend on those people who have been given less wealth.
01:55 Other than this, all other systems also run on wealth.
01:59 For example, the work of social welfare, other things, other than spending on people, all other work is also done on wealth.
02:07 Mosques are also built on wealth.
02:09 Institutions are also built on wealth.
02:11 Other than this, many good works are done on wealth.
02:16 So Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala wants that those who have more wealth should spend on those who have less wealth.
02:21 And spend on other avenues too.
02:24 There are different categories in this.
02:27 The biggest category of spending on wealth is the obligatory, the obligatory which is called Zakat.
02:33 Zakat, those who have more than a certain threshold which is called Nisaab in the language of Shariah,
02:42 those who have more than that Nisaab should pay Zakat.
02:51 To pay Zakat, first of all we should know what is Nisaab, what is that threshold.
02:59 Secondly, how to pay it, thirdly when to pay it, fourthly who can be given it, where can we spend it, where not to spend it.
03:10 Because Zakat has principles.
03:13 Zakat is obligatory, mandatory.
03:17 Without it, there is no way to survive.
03:20 In fact, about those who do not pay Zakat, there is a strict warning in the Holy Quran.
03:26 In Surah Tawbah, in Ayat no. 35, Allah SWT says,
03:31 Allah SWT says,
03:44 On the day when wealth and property will be burnt in the fire of hell,
03:49 then the foreheads, the sides, the backs of those people will be stained.
03:58 And it will be said, this is the treasure which you have collected for yourself,
04:04 that is, you did not pay Zakat, now taste the taste of this treasure which you used to keep.
04:11 So, there is a very strict warning for those who do not pay Zakat.
04:14 So, please, I request that you pay Zakat for wealth.
04:21 Every person should know the laws of Zakat, the principles,
04:26 every person should know, those who have wealth, please,
04:31 and get it out of it in the right way.
04:35 But Zakat is not enough.
04:38 Zakat is a must.
04:41 Apart from this, if you study the Holy Quran, the blessed Hadith,
04:46 Shariah wants that wealth should be spent, as much as possible.
04:52 And we have already talked about it in an episode,
04:56 that Allah SWT returns that wealth,
04:59 and He does not return it in such a way that it is one for one,
05:03 but at least 10 times, 70 times, 700 times, 100 times,
05:09 "WaAllahu yuda'ifu li mayya sha"
05:11 Allah SWT can return it as much as He wants.
05:14 But Allah SWT returns it, it is blessed,
05:17 there are many benefits,
05:19 a person is protected from a bad death,
05:22 Allah SWT's wrath stops, Allah SWT's punishment is removed,
05:27 the bad effects stop, people have diseases,
05:32 there are other problems, spending stops the bad effects,
05:36 you get freedom from hell.
05:38 The meaning of one of the blessed Hadith of Prophet Kareem is,
05:42 "Save yourself from the fire of hell,
05:44 even if you give half of dates as charity,
05:47 or even a piece of dates,
05:49 whatever translation you want,
05:51 that even if you give a piece of dates,
05:53 some people say that we do not have money, what should we spend?
05:56 Dates were a common thing in the time of Prophet Kareem,
06:01 it was a sort of stable food,
06:03 it was available to everyone,
06:05 even if it was not available,
06:07 we should spend it.
06:09 But with some conditions,
06:13 actually it is acceptance,
06:15 it is acceptance from Allah,
06:19 who should be accepted and who should not be,
06:21 because at the end of the day,
06:23 it is a matter of acceptance,
06:25 all these virtues,
06:27 having more wealth, having blessings,
06:29 stopping the bad effects, etc.
06:31 if all these are accepted by Allah,
06:34 then we will get all these virtues,
06:37 the first thing in it is,
06:40 it is Halal wealth,
06:42 it should be Halal wealth,
06:44 if we are earning wealth in a forbidden way,
06:47 taking bribes,
06:48 involved in corruption,
06:50 lying, cheating people,
06:52 then even if a person spends lakhs,
06:55 it is not acceptable,
06:57 because according to Shariah,
06:59 according to Hadith Mubarak,
07:01 first thing first,
07:03 wealth should be Halal,
07:05 and we should know the laws of it,
07:08 what is Halal and what is not,
07:11 secondly,
07:12 sincerity,
07:15 Allah said that there are some pious people,
07:19 who feed people for the sake of Allah,
07:24 and Allah says that they feed only for the sake of Allah,
07:30 in the love of Allah,
07:32 that they feed for the sake of Allah,
07:39 there is no other purpose,
07:41 many people feed,
07:43 but the purpose is to show off,
07:46 and Allah knows the purpose,
07:49 but these people feed only for the sake of Allah,
07:53 poor, orphans, prisoners,
07:57 poor, orphans, prisoners,
08:00 that is, the needy people,
08:03 for the sake of Allah,
08:05 for the sake of Allah,
08:07 and they are so sincere,
08:10 that they don't want any compensation,
08:14 Allah says in the next verse,
08:19 that they feed only for the sake of Allah,
08:24 we are feeding you only for the sake of Allah,
08:30 there is no other purpose,
08:32 we don't want any compensation or thanks from you,
08:37 we don't want any compensation or thanks from you,
08:42 we don't want any compensation or thanks from you,
08:45 SubhanAllah,
08:47 that is, if a person spends money on another person,
08:50 and that person doesn't even say thank you,
08:56 doesn't even say Jazakallah Khairan,
08:59 then this person may feel bad,
09:01 if this person is feeling bad,
09:03 then he needs to look into his heart,
09:08 and he needs to think,
09:11 did I help this person because I wanted a thank you,
09:16 at least,
09:17 these people are those who don't want any compensation or thanks,
09:22 what is the climax of sincerity,
09:25 what is the peak of sincerity,
09:30 only for Allah,
09:32 ok, this doesn't mean that if someone helps me,
09:35 I should not say thank you,
09:37 the person who is helping me should say thank you,
09:41 he should say thank you,
09:43 he should say Jazakallah Khairan,
09:46 the Prophet (PBUH) said,
09:48 "Whoever does not thank people, does not thank Allah."
09:53 So, you have to thank the people who are helping you,
09:57 but the person who is giving should not have any expectations,
10:00 be sincere for Allah,
10:02 that I am doing this for Allah,
10:04 I don't care if someone says thank you or not,
10:07 and Allah said that such people say that,
10:11 I don't need thanks,
10:13 I am doing this for Allah,
10:15 because the day of judgement is near,
10:17 "I am afraid of that day from my Lord,
10:25 in which my faces will be badly ruined,
10:28 that is a day of worry,
10:31 I am spending on you to save you from that day's worry."
10:36 This is my intention.
10:38 Allah says,
10:40 in the previous verses,
10:43 Allah has mentioned some other qualities of these pious people,
10:47 and in the end,
10:48 Allah says that they spend on people with such sincerity,
10:52 "Allah has said,
10:53 "Allah has saved them from the evil of their doings."
10:56 The result of this is that Allah will save such people from the bad effects of that day.
11:02 "And Allah will bless them with happiness and joy."
11:09 These people will be happy that day,
11:11 because of spending with such sincerity,
11:14 and because of the other qualities of these people,
11:17 the day of judgement,
11:18 which will be a day of great worry,
11:20 Allah will make these people happy that day.
11:25 So, we should spend with sincerity,
11:29 only with the will of Allah,
11:31 without any other purpose.
11:35 The day of judgement will be a day of great worry,
11:41 the sun will be very close,
11:43 as it is mentioned in the Hadith.
11:45 Only Allah knows what will be the condition of the sun,
11:48 but it will be like that,
11:50 and people will be drowning in their sweat,
11:52 and will be ungrateful for their deeds.
11:54 Everyone will be searching for a shadow,
11:56 and there will be only one shadow that day.
11:58 And the Prophet (PBUH) said that,
12:00 some people will be under that shadow,
12:03 and will be in that shadow,
12:05 and he mentioned their qualities.
12:07 And one type of people among those people,
12:10 who spend with such sincerity,
12:13 that when they give with their right hand,
12:15 even their left hand does not know,
12:17 what their right hand has given.
12:19 SubhanAllah.
12:20 Such a great sincerity.
12:22 So, be sincere,
12:24 be sincere.
12:26 And number three and four,
12:29 that whoever you give,
12:32 neither give them any pain,
12:34 nor give them any kindness.
12:36 Whoever you give,
12:38 neither give them any pain,
12:40 nor give them any kindness.
12:41 Sometimes it happens that,
12:42 we are helping someone,
12:44 we feel that we can control them,
12:48 we can say whatever we want,
12:50 we can say whatever we want.
12:52 Allah Almighty says in the Quran,
12:54 "O you who believe,
12:57 do not waste your charities,
13:01 by giving them kindness and pain."
13:07 Do not waste.
13:09 All the reward for that is gone.
13:11 If you give kindness to someone,
13:14 people help someone,
13:16 after one year, two years,
13:18 if you ask someone to do something,
13:20 and he does not do it,
13:22 people say, I did this for you,
13:24 and he did that,
13:25 and you do not do this for me.
13:27 It is a kindness.
13:28 It means that,
13:29 you did not do it for Allah's sake,
13:31 and you are giving kindness.
13:33 Helping everyone,
13:35 is null and void.
13:37 It is finished.
13:39 Allah Almighty says,
13:40 "The example of this is such that,
13:42 "Whoever spends what people have,
13:44 and does not believe in Allah,
13:46 "Do not waste like the one,
13:49 "who spends his wealth to show people,
13:52 "and does not believe in Allah and the Day of Judgment,
13:54 "and does not expect reward."
13:56 He is only doing it to show people,
13:58 and this person becomes like that.
14:00 "And his likeness is like a pile of dust upon it,
14:04 "and his fingers are like a stick,
14:06 "and he left a chain.
14:07 "They do not have the power to do anything except what they have earned,
14:10 "and Allah does not guide the disbelieving people."
14:13 Allah Almighty says,
14:15 "The example of this is such that,
14:17 "A pile of dust upon a smooth rock,
14:19 "and it rains heavily,
14:21 "and the dust is blown away,
14:23 "and the rock is smooth again.
14:25 "The people who have earned,
14:28 "do not get a single penny,
14:30 "and Allah does not guide such disbelievers."
14:33 Look,
14:35 if there is a rock,
14:37 then some greenery can grow on the soil.
14:40 Right?
14:41 If the soil goes away,
14:42 and the rock comes down,
14:44 then what will happen?
14:45 So, Allah Almighty says,
14:46 "The soil came down,
14:47 "and the rock became beneficial,
14:49 "but when He brought the favor,
14:51 "and when He caused pain to someone,
14:53 "it is like rain,
14:55 "and the rain wiped out all the soil,
14:58 "and the rock became smooth again.
15:01 "They do not expect any reward."
15:04 Now, there is no expectation of any vegetable on this.
15:06 Similarly, they will not expect any reward.
15:08 So, please,
15:09 we should spend a lot.
15:11 Spend a lot.
15:12 Spend as much as Allah has given.
15:14 Pay Zakat.
15:16 Spend more than this.
15:18 Everyone should spend.
15:19 Spend according to their ability.
15:21 Allah Almighty has given less,
15:22 so spend less.
15:23 But do something.
15:25 As I said,
15:26 the descent of blessings,
15:27 the relief from calamities,
15:29 has many benefits.
15:31 And goodness is spread in the society.
15:33 But,
15:34 with sincerity,
15:35 do not cause pain to anyone.
15:37 Do not give favor to anyone,
15:39 otherwise, all will be wasted.
15:41 May Allah give me and you the ability.
15:43 May Allah give us all the ability.
15:45 You keep asking your questions.
15:47 InshaAllah, we will take a short break.
15:49 After the break, we will be back with your questions.
15:51 The email address of your questions is
15:53 deenfitrat@arydigital.tv
15:57 InshaAllah, we will meet after the break.
15:59 Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu
16:01 Welcome back.
16:02 After the break,
16:03 we are back with your questions.
16:04 You keep sending your questions.
16:07 The email address of your questions is
16:09 deenfitrat@arydigital.tv
16:12 We have received some questions.
16:14 One question is,
16:16 can we buy credit cards or not?
16:23 Because, interest on credit cards increases.
16:25 First of all,
16:26 we need to know that
16:28 taking interest,
16:29 giving interest,
16:30 and doing moderation in interest,
16:34 these three are strictly forbidden.
16:39 Allah has strictly forbidden it in the Holy Quran.
16:43 Allah has even said that
16:46 it is a battle between Allah and His Messenger.
16:50 If someone fights with Allah,
16:53 how can he be successful?
16:55 We are in need of Allah's mercy.
16:59 We are living on Allah's blessings.
17:02 If someone fights with Allah,
17:04 he will lose his world and his hereafter.
17:06 He will be in need of blessings and worries.
17:09 He will have all the wealth he wants.
17:11 But, he cannot find peace in his heart.
17:13 So, we should ask Allah for mercy.
17:16 If we want to avoid fighting with Allah,
17:19 we should not take or give interest.
17:22 We should not moderate it.
17:24 There are some jobs
17:26 where you are offering interest to people
17:29 or taking interest from people.
17:31 These three things are forbidden in the light of Hadith.
17:37 Credit cards are basically loans.
17:41 Conventional banks have a set up
17:45 that if you take something on credit card
17:48 and do not pay it on time,
17:51 they charge you interest.
17:53 As I said, it is forbidden.
17:55 The question is,
17:57 is there any way to use credit cards?
18:01 There are some places where credit cards are mandatory.
18:05 For example, I used to live in the US.
18:09 I had to rent a car.
18:13 It had been many years since I had lived there.
18:15 When I went to rent a car,
18:17 they said that they cannot give me a car on rent.
18:19 I asked why.
18:20 They said that I do not have a credit history.
18:22 I said, why would I have a credit history?
18:26 They said that my credit history is bad.
18:30 I said, how can it be bad?
18:32 I have never taken anything on credit
18:34 and never returned it.
18:36 They said that they are looking at the system.
18:40 I am sorry that we cannot rent you.
18:42 When I got the information,
18:45 I realized that since I had never kept a credit card,
18:49 my credit history was not made.
18:52 I could not rent a car.
18:54 I was helpless.
18:56 You need a credit history in the US for many other things.
18:59 I am just giving an example.
19:01 The way it is done,
19:03 the scholars have written,
19:05 when you sign a document for a credit card,
19:08 there is a conditional statement in it.
19:13 If you do not pay on time,
19:16 then the interest will be charged.
19:19 Only if that condition is fulfilled.
19:22 If someone signs on a conditional statement,
19:28 that if it is fulfilled,
19:30 then I will pay the interest,
19:32 but the intention is to return the money within the time frame.
19:36 Scholars have allowed this.
19:39 Although, where it can be saved,
19:41 it should be saved.
19:43 One should try to save from a loan anyway.
19:45 Because at the end of the day,
19:47 it is a loan, a credit.
19:49 But if you return it on time,
19:52 then the credit card can be used.
19:54 But make sure that
19:56 not even once,
19:58 you do not return it on allotted time.
20:03 And not even a penny,
20:05 not even a penny of money,
20:07 we should not give interest on it,
20:09 because it is very dangerous.
20:11 A question has come about Zakat.
20:15 Can we give Zakat to immediate family or not?
20:19 To close relatives.
20:21 So, first of all, I would like to say that
20:24 please, there are many principles of Zakat.
20:26 All of them should be learned.
20:28 There is a detailed explanation.
20:30 Please learn about it.
20:33 And
20:35 know it.
20:38 And give Zakat at the right place,
20:40 give the right amount.
20:42 Those who cannot be given Zakat,
20:47 are your parents,
20:51 or above them.
20:53 You cannot give it to them.
20:55 You cannot give it to your children,
20:57 or below them.
20:59 And you cannot give it to your wife and husband.
21:01 That is, wife cannot give it to husband,
21:03 husband cannot give it to wife.
21:05 These are the immediate family members
21:07 who cannot be given Zakat.
21:09 Apart from this, you can give Zakat to all family members.
21:12 You can give it to your sister, brother,
21:14 cousins,
21:16 uncle, etc.
21:18 All of them can be given Zakat,
21:20 if they meet the conditions.
21:24 As I said, there is a detailed explanation.
21:27 There is no time to tell you the details.
21:29 If Allah gives us the opportunity,
21:32 we will talk about Zakat in detail.
21:35 But please, until then,
21:38 contact the Ulema and give Zakat accordingly.
21:43 One question was,
21:46 when Zakat is given,
21:48 is it necessary to tell him
21:50 that it is Zakat money?
21:52 That is, there is a person who
21:54 is given Zakat,
21:58 and he has to give Zakat,
21:59 so is it necessary to tell him while giving Zakat
22:01 that it is Zakat?
22:03 Because some people do not feel good.
22:05 They are white-posh people,
22:07 they feel helpless,
22:09 they are poor,
22:11 but they still have a self-respect.
22:14 They do not like to be given Zakat.
22:17 They take it out of helplessness.
22:20 So, there is no need to tell him.
22:23 As long as he meets the conditions
22:27 which can be given Zakat,
22:30 and then you can give him anything,
22:33 as it is a gift from me,
22:35 but in reality, it is Zakat.
22:37 So, this can be done
22:38 so that his self-respect is not hurt,
22:41 and it can be done while taking care of him.
22:45 Another question was,
22:48 is it possible that I give Zakat
22:51 after some time?
22:53 I keep that money aside
22:55 and give it after some time.
22:57 In reality, there is no need
22:58 to keep that money aside.
23:00 In reality, the day when you have to calculate Zakat,
23:04 today I have to calculate.
23:07 I will say it again,
23:09 there is no time to know the details.
23:12 But there is a day,
23:13 the day you have to calculate Zakat,
23:16 and every person has a different day,
23:18 based on when you were the first time
23:20 to be the Saheb-e-Nisab.
23:21 Then that day carries on,
23:23 that I have to calculate Zakat on this day.
23:26 Some people,
23:27 because they don't remember the first day,
23:29 they feel it later,
23:31 so they specify a day.
23:34 For example, people specify the first Ramadan,
23:39 or any other day.
23:41 Generally, I have seen that
23:42 people do the first Ramadan,
23:44 and then specify it.
23:46 Whatever it is, it is a day.
23:48 On that day, you calculate your Zakat,
23:52 calculate how much Zakat I have to give.
23:55 How much Zakat I have to give to people.
23:58 And for example,
24:00 whatever, you understand,
24:02 it is 50,000 rupees, right?
24:04 I have to give 50,000 rupees of Zakat to people.
24:08 You just note it down,
24:10 that I have to give 50,000 rupees of Zakat.
24:13 It is not necessary to give it on that day,
24:15 or on that month.
24:16 As and when you get the right people,
24:20 you keep giving,
24:21 you keep noting it down,
24:23 you don't have to keep it aside.
24:25 You have money in your bank,
24:27 you have cash,
24:28 with the rest of the cash,
24:30 as long as you pay it.
24:33 Generally, it is a good thing,
24:36 that before the next year,
24:38 that is, on that day,
24:40 before the next year,
24:42 whatever Zakat you were given,
24:45 you pay all that Zakat before that.
24:49 So, this is the best,
24:50 this is what should be done.
24:52 In fact, it should be done as soon as possible,
24:54 as soon as possible.
24:55 But sometimes it happens,
24:57 that people don't get the right people.
25:00 And as I said,
25:01 after a lot of investigation,
25:03 Zakat should be given to the right people.
25:05 So, sometimes it happens,
25:07 that people don't get it.
25:08 So, it's okay,
25:09 as and when you get it,
25:11 you keep giving.
25:14 So, you keep asking questions,
25:16 InshAllah, Allah will keep answering your questions.
25:18 Allah will give us the right and deep understanding
25:21 to understand the religion.
25:23 I keep saying,
25:24 that our religion is the religion of nature.
25:27 It has come for the good of people.
25:29 It has come to connect people with Allah.
25:31 It has come to connect people with people.
25:33 It has come to spread love.
25:35 I wish we understand the religion
25:37 and act upon it.
25:38 May Allah give us all the ability.
25:40 InshAllah, we will meet again in the next episode.
