00:00 Hi guys and welcome to Drivespark, I'm Prameet and today what we are riding is the all new

00:16 TVS X and let me just talk about the scooter.

00:20 Now before that let me tell you that TVS has been one of the early players in the electric

00:24 scooter game in India and they launched their iQ back in the days.

00:28 Now after that we have been waiting for an electric scooter to be a little sporty and

00:33 this is where the TVS launched the TVS X.

00:36 Now however if we talk about the pricing of the scooter, well this scooter is priced at

00:40 rupees 2.5 lakh ex-showroom which is pretty expensive which is slightly on the expensive

00:46 side specially considering that it's an electric scooter and that too in India.

00:51 Now let us start talking about the design.

00:53 Now when you will see the scooter overall you will notice that the scooter is very sporty

00:58 from every angle that you see it.

01:00 However let's start off with the front end so very first thing you will notice is that

01:03 the headlight unit now is stacked vertically it's a cluster of projectors and the entire

01:08 lighting setup on the scooter is LED starting from the front to the back.

01:13 You get LED indicators and the two LED lights that the projector that you see on the either

01:17 side of the fork on the apron are the cornering lights so wherever you will tilt the scooter

01:21 to the right or the left depending on the degree of the lean the light will switch on.

01:26 Now moving to the side of the scooter you will see that it gets a split seat and it

01:30 gets a very very sporty design however you don't get an actual flow board instead you

01:35 get a large sculpted side panels that encase the central spine which also acts as the charging

01:41 port for your battery pack of the scooter.

01:44 Now the other highlight when you see it from the side is the 12 inch alloy wheels and the

01:48 offset rear monoshock makes the sportiness even better and once you park the scooter

01:55 and rest on the side stand you will get to see the other highlights as the TVS-X the

01:59 10.25 inch display that allows you to access everything ranging from your driving modes

02:06 to your music to your AMOLED it has everything from navigation, music, your news, calls and

02:12 messages and even three different riding modes that is stride, sonic and stealth.

02:19 Now however when you connect your smartphone and you get your smart X connect system that

02:24 will allow you to unlock features such as geo-fencing, cruise control, your crash and

02:29 fall alert, tow and theft alert as well.

02:32 Now let's talk about the battery pack of the scooter the battery pack is certainly one

02:35 of the largest one that fitted to an electric scooter in India it's a 4.4 kilowatt hour

02:40 battery pack and that delivers a range of around 140 kilometers on a single charge.

02:45 Now it comes equipped with a 950 portable charger which tops up the battery from 0 to

02:51 80 percent in four and a half hours that is really really quick.

02:55 Well there's an optional 3 kilowatt fast charger available that can top the battery

02:59 from 0 to 50 percent in just 50 minutes however you'll have to pay an extra rupees 16,275

03:06 to get your hands on that fast charger.

03:09 Now talking about the motor of the TVS-X the motor pushes out around 9.3 bhp of continuous

03:15 power and the peak power output is 14.75 bhp while the peak torque figure is around 40

03:23 Nm.

03:24 Well this scooter is really really quick.

03:25 Now TVS claims that the X sprints from 0 to 40 kilometers an hour in 2.6 seconds and you

03:31 get a 60 kilometer per hour showing up on the display in another 1.9 seconds.

03:37 However this scooter gets a top speed of around 105 kilometers an hour and as we mentioned

03:42 that the range on a full charge is 140 kilometers on one charge.

03:47 Now talking about the front suspension the front suspension is a non-adjustable telescopic

03:52 fork and the rear is an offset monoshock that can be adjusted.

03:56 However the TVS rides on 12 inch wheels and the front tire is a 180 section and the rear

04:02 tire is a 110 80 section.

04:04 So the tires on the rear is again it's a beefy tire and looks good with the overall sportiness

04:10 of the scooter.

04:11 Now the braking duties are handled by discs on either end.

04:14 So you get a 220 mm front disc and a 195 mm rear disc.

04:18 However you get a single channel ABS which is the first for an electric scooter in India.

04:24 Well this was a short review of the all new TVS X and let me tell you the pricing once

04:29 again so this scooter is priced at rupees 2.5 lakh ex-showroom which once again I mentioned

04:33 is slightly on the higher side considering that this is an electric scooter for the Indian

04:38 market.

04:39 So the scooter looks really amazing it has all the features it looks really sporty and

04:45 even performs well.
