00:00 The Minister of Law and Reform, Azalina Osman Said, will hold a meeting with child advocates

00:08 to raise awareness of sexual abuse against the vulnerable.

00:12 We are worried that a lot of people who are aware of abuse, sexual abuse in the school

00:20 or family or the neighborhood, they are not reporting.

00:23 But there is an offense under the Sexual Offenses Act against children

00:28 and if you know and you don't report, it's an offense.

00:32 She said the responsibility is for everyone, not just the family members.

00:38 Because we have to give a message that sexual offenses against children

00:42 is not just the victims are the children, but the society at large.

00:46 It's a joint responsibility of everyone who is in a community to be equally responsible,

00:50 not just family members.

00:52 So we want to look beyond.

00:53 So I'm trying to figure out on references of complainants being made.
