The coalition says its six-pillar manifesto is designed to close Sabah’s development gaps, expand economic zones, and deliver long-delayed infrastructure upgrades.
00:00Barca National has pledged to build 15,000 affordable homes a year under its Ruma Sabaku program if it is given the mandate to form the next Sabah government.
00:10The initiative, unveiled by BN Sabah Election Director Saleh Syed Kerouac this morning as part of the Coalition's Six Pillar Eranjangan Pembangunan Sabah Satu Manifesto,
00:21aims to help B40 and M40 families buy their first homes alongside a special repair fund for households affected by natural disasters.
00:51BN Sabah also offers a special rent-in-law to help the people to clean up the homes for natural disasters such as rain with a maximum cost of USD$10,000 for all employees.
01:10Another key proposal is the creation of a Sabah Wealth Fund, a long-term savings and investment vehicle funded by the state's natural resources, strategic investments,
01:20GLCs, the private sector and Petronas.
01:25BN said the fund would serve as a financial buffer for future generations and a safeguard for Sabah's economic sovereignty.
01:33The coalition also pledged to push for the construction of a new international airport,
01:39arguing that expanded capacity is needed to cope with rising passenger and cargo demand.
01:43The manifesto also outlined the completion of the stalled Pan-Borneo Highway within five years, alongside ongoing upgrades and new rural-linked roads to ensure what it describes as a balanced and sustained economic spillover across the state.
