Rustington primary school parent wants improved road safety

Simioana Stan, whose children go to Rustington Community Primary School, is calling for a zebra crossing outside to improve road safety

00:06 I live in Littlehampton and my son really likes the scooter.

00:10 To cross the roads in front of the school is very difficult because there's no crossing patrol,

00:17 there's no zebra, there's no flashing lights, there are no bans, no restriction for the street,

00:21 nothing at all to help us cross safely.

00:24 And we had incidents, my child had a car accident in front of a car,

00:30 and other parents confirmed that drivers don't slow down.

00:35 They might not know, they just don't, I don't know, they just don't slow down,

00:40 and it's very difficult to cross the road safely.

00:43 It's very, very concerning, and apparently some organisations say that it's an accident to happen,

00:50 to happen, to change something, which we don't want anyone to get hurt.
