00:14 driving attribute the excessive reliance on sat-nav devices as the cause. With
00:20 drunken drivers being cited as another reason for the rise in the figures.
00:25 National Highways data disclosed that reports of oncoming vehicles on
00:29 motorways reached 872 up to June the 19th of this year. That's a 102 more
00:35 than the prior year. This information stemmed from reports of wrong way
00:40 driving sent to National Highways Regional Operation Centres. In response
00:44 Jo Shiner who is lead of the National Police Chiefs Council for Road Policing
00:50 emphasized the need for alertness while driving. She advises to minimize
00:55 distractions and focus on safety signs and information.
