Glasgow is set to host Banksy’s first new art exhibition in 14 years.

The street artist said he selected the city because it holds his favourite artwork in the UK which he then identified as the Duke of Wellington statue.

The show which will take place at the GOMA will showcase 25 years of work and will include for the first time the stencils used to create some of his most famous pieces.

Next, a pub in the Southside is fighting to set up gazebos outside for customers after the council turned down planning permission.

The Stag & Thistle on Pollokshaws Road wanted to add three new gazebos and railings but were told they were unauthorised.

The pub is now working to appeal the decision.

And finally, a fan favourite of the Glasgow-based television programme Two Doors Down is returning.

Producers of the show confirmed that Cathy is set for a comeback in season 7 which is currently being filmed.
