Segal’s abstract painting style is characterized by low-key but bold color use, often with a minimalistic style. The subjects he paints can be found in nature, especially the landscape and woodlands of the western United States. Many of his paintings focus on the cycle of life and its relationship to art. This theme is found in many of his paintings, including his most famous work, “The Path”. In addition to his abstract paintings, Segal is also an accomplished watercolor and acrylic painter.
