Three men from Manchester have been put behind bars for a total of 61 years for murdering teenager Rhamero West. The three men, all teenagers, are Marquis Richards, Ryan Cashin and Giovanni Lawrence.

New figures show the number of injuries from e-scooters is on the rise in Greater Manchester. Provisional figures from the Department for Transport show there were 18 casualties from e-scooter accidents in 2021 recorded by Greater Manchester Police, while there were none in 2020.

And Oldham’s first openly gay council leader has been formally appointed. Royton South councillor Amanda Chadderton, who has been an elected member for 10 years said she would not hide her sexual orientation and said they should champion diversity in top roles.
