India records highest ever single-day spike with over 1.8 lakh new Covid-19 cases; Bengal polls; more

India on Wednesday reported a record single-day rise of 1,84,372 new coronavirus cases within a span of 24 hours, pushing the total tally of cases to 1,38,73,825, according to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry.
