The budget for the Housing and Local Government ministry was passed after the Opposition failed in its attempt to slash a RM8.62mil allocation for the Penggerak Komuniti Tempatan (PeKT) in the Dewan Rakyat on Wednesday (Dec 9).
Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin denied that PekT was set up as a vehicle for personal political interest.
