Unimpressed by the claim of ABS-CBN chairman emeritus Eugenio “Gabby” Lopez III that he is a Filipino citizen, a senior administration congressman asked the network giant’s executive to recite the first line of the Philippine Patriotic Oath ‘Panatang Makabayan’.
Lopez, who had to undergo another intense grilling before the House of Representatives today, did recite the oath’s initial line but failed to convince Deputy Speaker and SAGIP Partylist Rep. Rodante Marcoleta that he knew it by heart.
