High-rise building on fire in Kuwait City as Gulf state faces wave of drone attacks from Iran

WATCH: Flames were seen leaping into the night sky as a massive fire tore through a high-rise building in Kuwait City early on Sunday.

The cause of the blaze was unclear, but it erupted as the country suffered a wave of Iranian drone and missile attacks.

Sirens sounded across the city as the county’s military said it was responding to more attacks.

The latest attacks came hours after Iran's president apologized for attacks on “neighboring countries".

Iranian hard-liners, however, asserted that Tehran's war strategy would not change.
