William Branham claimed to have an "angel" that was "discerning" the diseases for each "patient". One disease commonly "diagnosed" was cancer, during a time when the general public had very little information about the disease. According to Branham and his "angel", cancer could be caused by a bruise, shaving cut, car wreck, and even taking penicillin.
