Ingredients 1 piece cinnamon 2 bay leafs 1 tbsp cumin seeds 2 chopped green chillies Chopped onions 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste 3 chopped tomatoes Salt 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder 3/4 tbsp turmeric powder 1 cup chopped spinach 1/2 cup chana dal (Split bengal gram) 2 cup of water 1 tbsp coriander powder 1 tbsp garam masala powder
Method In a cooker add some oil, 1 piece cinnamon, 2 bay leafs, 1 tbsp cumin seeds, 2 chopped green chillies, chopped onions and cook till the onions turn soft.
Add 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 3 chopped tomatoes, Salt, 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder, 3/4 tbsp turmeric powder, mix it well and allow it cook on high flame.
Add 1 cup chopped spinach stir well and cook for some time.
Add 1/2 cup chana dal, mix it well, add 2 cup of water, put the lid and cook for 2-3 whistles.
Add 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1 tbsp garam masala powder, slow down the flame and cook for around 5 mins.
Garnish it with some chopped coriander leaves and serve it hot!
