Women have joined the de-mining process in Colombia that is now taking place as a result of peace agreements. The volunteers work with the Halo Trust Organization, which provides them with training and safety measures. They have already deactivated a number of booby traps and chemical mines, including some containing up to 2.5 kilos of explosives. When a mine is detected it is neutralized with pressurized water shot by a disruptor cannon. teleSUR
