00:00More than 15,000 people have paid their last respects to Giorgio Armani in Milan at a public viewing held over the weekend.

00:09Mourners queued from early Sunday morning to enter the Armani Theatre,

00:14where the iconic designer's coffin was placed among candles and white roses.

00:19The crowds included ordinary admirers from across Italy,

00:23alongside fashion world figures like Donatella Versace and senior politicians.

00:28The president of Lombardi described Armani as a genius and a great entrepreneur.

00:34A private funeral will be held on Monday afternoon in the village of Rivalta di Gazzola,

00:39where he will be buried in the family chapel.
