Chilean teachers will vote on Wednesday whether to continue their two-week strike against the government's proposed educational reform. Following meetings with teach union representatives, the government agreed to incorporate some of the disputed points in the legislation. The new bill, however, does not modify the salary regime based on seniority and maintains the controversial mid-term teacher evaluation exams. The bill also includes a higher salary for new teachers. teleSUR
