The scandal in the international soccer federation FIFA is spilling over into Argentina. Among the sports executives facing charges is Alejandro Burzaco, principal shareholder and CEO of one of the region's largest sports marketing agencies Torneos y Competencias. Burzaco is charged with seeking bribes in exchange for television rights to broadcast soccer matches. He and other sports marketing executives face extradition to the United States. Following the revelations in the FIFA scandal, Argentine tax authorities filed charges against Burzaco and two other Argentine sports executives and their companies for tax evasion, conspiracy, and money laundering. The whereabouts of the three executives remains unknown. Leonel Poblete reports from Buenos Aires. teleSUR
