The United States placed Cuba on its state sponsors of terrorism list in 1982 together with Iran, Syria, and Sudan. On Friday, Washington removed Cuba from the list, a move hailed almost unanimously by the international community. But Havana should never have been on the list in the first place, and in fact, it has been Cuba that has been the victim of terrorist activities, according to Carlos Alguzaray, analyst and former Cuban diplomat. teleSUR
