Islamic State militants now control a number of strategic cities in both Syria and Iraq. An Iraqi officer has vowed to continue to fight the IS “terrorists” and “criminals” and expel them from their country. He stated that there must be cooperation with the Syrian Army, which would be the key to victory in both Iraq and Syria.
