The Argentine judiciary issued an injunction at the request of the Economy Ministry blocking Citibank from implementing any deal with hedge funds that would damage the national economy. The injunction will block the payment of locally issued bonds and require Citibank to abide by Argentine law and not agreements entered into by its home office with vulture funds.
