Tegucigalpa named Latin America's most dangerous city

In 2015, Tegucigalpa is reportedly Latin America's most violent city. Approximately 100,000 people, more than one third of the population, live under the control of criminal gangs in urban areas where the police do not set foot. In some neighborhoods curfews have been set at 5 pm and in others at 6 pm. A city councilwoman says that people are not safe in their homes or on the streets. There is no safe place in the capital city, she says. Gerardo Torres reports from Tegucigalpa for teleSUR.
