Surrogacy, also known as 'surrogate mothers' is forbidden in Spain. In spite of this, more and more Spanish citizens go abroad to go through this method to become parents. A civil organization is promoting a bill to legalize surrogacy as an assisted reproduction method in Spain, though there is no unanimity in the congress nor in society. teleSUR
