00:08Hundreds of people marched on the National Congress to call for a five-year extension of the Comprehensive Mining Formalization Registry, set to expire in December 2025.
00:19In July, the union mobilized and gained the support of the chairman of the Energy and Mines Committee, Victor Coutipa, and the left-wing party, Juntos por el Perú.
00:28Miners claim that the state has not responded to their demands and argued that they represent a solution to the lack of jobs in the country.
