00:00The government expressed its rejection of the U.S. threats against Colombia's President Gustavo Petro
00:05and stressed its support for the Colombian people.
00:08The statement was made on X by the Caribbean Island Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez,
00:12who wrote that,
00:14In the face of the new imperialist Oncelot, we express our support and solidarity with President Gustavo Petro and with Colombia.
00:21Such statements by the U.S. government constitute a threat to Colombian sovereignty
00:26and seek to interfere in the internal affairs of that sister nation.
00:35Also, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermúdez expressed Monday his rejection of the U.S. government's accusations against Colombia
00:44as well as Washington's interventionist actions in Latin America and the Caribbean.
00:48The Cuban leader said on Telegram,
00:51Dear President Gustavo Petro, the peoples of our America are with you and with Colombia.
00:56We reject the interference and falsehoods of the U.S. government,
01:00which is attempting to reimpose the Monroe Doctrine
01:03in its relations with the sovereign nations of Latin America and the Caribbean.
