Caught between her deep religious duty to reclaim the veil and an undeniable, growing passion for the passionate rebel leader, Salammbo becomes the focal point of a brutal war. As armies clash on the battlefield, her desperate attempts to secure a peace deal lead to a tragic, heart-wrenching climax.
