Directed with high-octane energy and a prophetic eye for computer technology by John Kincade, this thrilling sci-fi feature follows a group of brilliant, tech-savvy high school students who run an exclusive computer hacking club. While looking for a challenge, they breach a highly secure, mysterious mainframe network and stumble upon an ultra-advanced, text-based simulation called "Terminal Entry." Believing they are simply testing a sophisticated, realistic new military strategy video game, the teens begin inputting tactical commands, orchestrating mock terrorist strikes, assassination missions, and bombing runs against various domestic targets. However, the horrifying reality quickly explodes into view: the computer system belongs to a ruthless, highly organized underground terrorist syndicate led by the calculating Captain Danny (Edward Albert). The "game" is actually a live, operational remote-command interface, and the kids' keyboard entries are unknowingly directing genuine, blood-drenched mercenary squads to execute real-world massacres. As local law enforcement, led by a fiercely determined detective (Yaphet Kotto), rushes to trace the source of the attacks, the young hackers must race against the clock to out-hack the network, reverse their commands, and survive a deadly mercenary team sent to silence them forever.

Featuring a wonderfully nostalgic, driving electronic synthesizer score by Michel Rubini and non-stop practical stunt work, the film stands as a definitive time capsule of the 1980s computer paranoia subgenre.
