C’est si bon – Carlings 1990
In a performance in Darlington England the Swedish Carling Family plays a tune in a very Bixian manner, Father Hans does some very imaginative phrasing and certainly has a knowledge, perception and imagination like very few others to get this Beiderbecke type phrasing across. This is a tune one can imagine Bix would have loved himself.
After that 15 year old Gunhild in her solo comes across just as surprising on trombone. In the final chorus one will notice some of the Ces’t si bon melody.
Another totally amazing feat by the Carling Family
Hans trumpet, Max clarinet, Gunhild trombone, Aina banjo, Gerd piano and Ulf drums
