Goal of Meditation - part of the women's fitness video series by GeoBeats. The Goal of Meditation is to become aware of what your actual experience is in the present moment. So often a thought will come by, we will have an image of a person that we had an argument with yesterday and the first thing that happens is we are replaying that conversation over and over again and then we start making plans about what we are going to say to them the next time we see them and our head is racing. And when we bring our awareness back to the present moment and let go of the story that we get caught up in, we might begin to notice that there is a feeling of anger, or there is a feeling of sadness inside. And that is what we want to learn to be with and say, oh, my mind is racing and I can not let this go because, I am just angry, or I am just sad. Or, alternatively you might have some happy thoughts, it is not all bad, but you start to see what is underneath that stuff, that stuff that races all of the time.
