Bilateral relations between Japan and China are at their lowest level for years. The selling of a disused plot of land in Nagoya, in the center of the country, reflects anti-chinese mood. China would like to buy the land from the Japanese state and build a new consulate here. But some Nagoya inhabitants stand against this project.
