00:35please be seated very special place with the lincoln memorial behind us it's been something that
00:52for a long time generations they've looked at what's behind me from 1922 and believe it or not
01:03it's never worked and it's never worked because it was always loaded up with leaks and problems
01:10but today i'm thrilled to announce the official opening of the lincoln memorial reflecting pool
01:17now we're giving serious thought to changing the name to the trump reflecting pool we'll announce that
01:27sometime tomorrow i'm sure that secretary doug burgum will have a lot of fun in announcing that
01:34no i'm only kidding i'm only kidding please don't report it just they'll cut it off and they'll say
01:42uh he's changing the name now we've done a great job here though the people from interior have been
01:49incredible and uh the pool is now better and more beautiful than it's ever been before
02:00and you wanna this was the uh
02:04the joints that were here that we took out they were put in there a long time ago and we
02:11took it out
02:12and uh obama and biden put in much of it but it was all very defective material
02:18and that's one of the reasons it leaked so badly so we removed all of this
02:23this was put in it was not very high quality material wouldn't last very long
02:34this was what we inherited this is the way the pool was
02:37uh just prior to uh just a little bit below the surface when you wonder why it leaked i guess
02:44it's not too hard to it's not too hard to see
02:52despite all that we went through the reflecting pool right now
02:56looks better than it ever looked and it is better it's in better health and better shape all of those
03:01the glass pictures that i showed you they're now obsolete it's in it's uh it's really a beautiful
03:09thing it's a work of art in many ways but it was a work of art that never worked but
03:14now it will work
03:17this grass has never ever been replaced and we're replacing much of it uh we were given a gift
03:23of grass from a great company scots uh of the white house the white house they did it free of
03:31charge
03:31they did it with love too so we have a lot of great things planned for washington and i could
03:37get
03:37into the nation but for that you don't have enough time but i can only say that we're uh we
03:44had a war
03:44with iran we won we had a war with and you know i don't know if you even call it
03:48a war because we
03:49haven't been doing any fighting for months you know we just we control the uh we control the strait
03:55foremost we control it and strongly control it uh we took out wall street journal reported we took
04:02out last week more oil than at any time in the history of the strait and uh again oil prices
04:08are
04:08plunging now they're plunging uh a record nobody's ever seen a plunge like this and
