00:00The algae is back exactly and it's probably never gonna go away regardless of who's president and who's pushing for
00:07it
00:08But I like it a little gamy to be honest with you and realistically
00:13The water in this area is very high in phosphate
00:17Great and it is prone to algae bloom and in order to prevent that you have to
00:24Treat it like a storm pool with chemicals chlorine etc
00:30and that's not what this pool was designed for
00:34But I knew they were trying to make it blue and for me
00:39I think it's an impossible task having a pool myself
00:42I know what it takes and what an environmental wreck it is to keep dumping those
00:49Chemicals in the water to keep it blue so I was kind of relieved
00:54Actually to see that it was it was sort of a natural green
00:57And I can still see the reflection of the watch and the monument in there in the pool itself when
01:03you stand up the memorial
01:04So I'm really glad
01:06Oh, absolutely. It was a 100% waste of funds
01:10I do however see that the National Park Service is getting some work today
01:15Clearing out the algae
01:18They might be able to get it blue for the 4th of July, but it won't stay that way. I
01:23doubt it
01:23I'm glad they're trying but honestly
01:26I don't think you can fight mother nature
01:29And the nature of this pool anytime you have an environment that big
01:33That's like cleaning a lake or something else as as long as it doesn't stink
01:38I'm okay, and as long as I can enjoy it and get close. I'm fine with it and happy about
01:45it
