00:00A year and a half ago, Washington was a very unsafe city.
00:03Now it's one of the safest cities in the country.
00:05It's one of the most beautiful cities.
00:06Doug Bergam and myself and a whole group of people
00:10did a great job on the monuments and fountains.
00:14The reflecting pool was so beautiful.
00:16They tried to destroy it.
00:17They cut it up with a box knife and tried to destroy it.
00:20And it's in great shape now.
00:22They're terrible.
00:23They're vandals.
00:24They've caught six of them, I guess, maybe more.
00:27They've got others in line to be caught.
00:29But we just inspected it.
00:31We'll fix it right after the 4th of July.
00:34Got to let the water out, just fix it.
00:36But we caught them.
00:37They would cut it, and they would grab this very expensive
00:40and very good material, totally waterproof,
00:43and they rip it.
00:44These people are sick.
00:46They ripped a scar 350 feet long
00:48through the side of the reflecting pool.
00:52These are the people we're dealing with.
00:54These are the people that want to destroy our country.
00:57But we've invested a record $1 trillion
01:00in the United States Armed Forces,
01:02and we're going this year for $1.5 trillion,

01:13two years ago,
01:14you could not get anybody to join the Army,
01:17the Navy, the Air Force,
01:19the Marines, the Coast Guard, Space Force.
01:22You couldn't get anybody to join.
01:24They had tremendous recruitment problems,
01:28but now recruitment in every branch of our military
01:30is setting records.
01:3118 months ago, we had tremendous shortages,
01:34and we couldn't fill them up.
01:37We were never going to fill them up.
01:38That included police and firemen.
01:39We couldn't get policemen and women.
01:42We couldn't get firemen and women.

01:46because they were ashamed of our country,
01:48because we had people that were not respected.
