00:16Let's be really clear about what that means.
00:18When people lose their health care, they skip a checkup.
00:21They put off a test.
00:23They ration their medicine.
00:25They wait until it's an emergency.
00:27And sometimes people of death.
00:31And Michelle Tafoya, well, she's cheered that on.
00:35She said that she was, quote, thrilled with the results of the big, beautiful betrayal
00:40bill.
00:40And when people raise the alarm that cuts to Medicare and Medicaid would hurt folks, she
00:48said that they were overreacting.
00:49And informed me that without insurance, I would have to pay 25% minimum for each treatment.
00:57So I will tell you there are three things that I've said across the state that we get a lot
01:07of applause and feedback for.
01:09It's one, not taking any corporate PAC money.
01:12Two, it's Medicare for all.
01:14And three, it's banning prior authorization because this is so real for folks.
01:21We need a strong champion who understands that health care is a human right.
01:27That health care is freedom.
01:29That nobody should have to stay in a job because they're worried about losing their health care.
01:34That if you want to start a small business, that you can go do it without worrying about
01:38who's going to cover your health care.
01:40If you want to take care of a vulnerable senior at home, that you can do that without worrying
01:46that you will lose your health care.
01:48I think we need to ask for what people actually need and deserve.
01:54For a long time, we have watched folks nibble around the edges and frankly have watched Democrats
02:00nibble around the edges.
02:02And this is what we get for it.
02:04This is the number one thing I hear about when I am traveling across the state and in particular
02:12in rural communities who are feeling hit, I think, disproportionately from other folks.
02:17So if we start negotiations here, we're going to get this.
02:22We should actually ask for what people need and deserve and frankly, that's why I'm running.
02:36We're going to take care of what people need and we're going to take care of what people need.
