00:00Now let's go to the unfortunate news of the day.
00:02In case you missed it, the last 24 hours have not been good for running back Josh Jacobs of the
00:06Green Bay Packers,
00:07who did return to play last week in the NFL.
00:10And, you know, he has not played well.
00:13But as Joe said, he's been on the fortunate end of some touchdowns and catching some balls.
00:17But now he's on the unfortunate end of some reporting that,
00:20according to some of the reporters who cover the National Football League,
00:22the NFL was not made aware of some incidents that potentially happened in previous years.
00:28You know, certainly there is now 10 days for the NFL once again to figure this out,
00:33whether Jacobs will play or not.
00:34To me, the whole thing kind of stinks, Joe, that we have to, like, focus on.
00:39It's really more for fantasy than it is for anything else,
00:42because I don't think Jacobs makes or breaks the Packers.
00:45Clearly, they're better with him than they are without him.
00:48But it seemingly is going to be hard to ignore these stories,
00:52even though they're just allegations at this point.
00:54It's seemingly going to be very hard, I think, for the NFL
00:56to just brush this under the rug for the next seven weeks.
00:59I feel like at some point something else is going to happen,
01:02and maybe some resolution comes.
01:05I don't want to sound like a broken record,
01:07so I've already said all I have to say about this.
01:09And, look, my stance is he has more theoretical value than actual value.
01:12But let's talk about why for a second here.
01:15Just go back to Thursday night's game.
01:16Josh Jacobs, 21 carries for 39 yards.
01:20Volume might be king, but 1.9 yards per carry is not going to help.
01:24Now, he did have a rushing touchdown.
01:26That kind of saved his day.
01:26What about the passing game for Josh Jacobs?
01:29Six receptions for 13 yards.
01:3213 yards.
01:33Also had a receiving touchdown.
01:35So two touchdowns in that game really saved him.
01:37I want to come back to that moment of discussion
01:40of the Green Bay Packers offensive line is not good.
01:43The one that he's running behind is not great.
01:46Yes, he is the best of that group in terms of talent,
01:49but he also is a guy that did not have the proper runway to the season.
01:54We've seen that come back to bite us with injuries before and things like that.
01:58Like, how healthy has he been in terms of his work on the side
02:01while he's been suspended?
02:02There's so many questions here, right?
02:04And to me, there's just not enough answers.
02:06I would much rather have something I feel good about every single week.
02:09I think these two touchdowns were a bit of an illusion
02:11and a bit of a mirage.
02:12You can't chase every single week necessarily.
02:13And eventually when he has one of these games that look like that
02:16without the touchdowns, you're going to be wishing you did unload him.
