00:00This Packers team is going through a little bit of a, I wouldn't say a rebuild,
00:05but it feels like they're kind of just on the outskirts of this division.
00:08Everyone's talking about the Lions and the Bears and even the Vikings
00:11because of their quarterback situation.
00:13And the Packers are sitting there like, well, we got Jordan Love still.
00:16We kind of got a pretty decent team.
00:18We got a good coach.
00:19What's going on with us?
00:20So my question to you, John, is now that Micah Parsons is out for the first four games,
00:24that is confirmed.
00:25Are the Packers in trouble in the NFC North?
00:28Well, first and foremost, don't beat your old lady.
00:31Let's start there, okay?
00:33This is very simple.
00:34Keep your hands to yourself.
00:35I don't know or understand how guys in this position at this day and age in 2026
00:40still find themselves in these situations where they have to figure out a way
00:44to work around this.
00:46If you're in the NFL, this particular league, I mean, no one should be beating their wife
00:52or girlfriend or significant other.
00:54But in this particular league of all leagues, this is the one.
01:00You can't do it.
01:01Blame Ray Rice, but you can't do it.
01:04And so that's problem number one for them.
01:06Being on the commissioner's list is like, you know, being in a gulag.
01:10You might get out.
01:11You might not.
01:13So, you know, good luck to Josh Jacobs.
01:15But on the other end of that, are you sold on Jordan Love?
01:19No matter who you are, no matter where you are, are you sold on Jordan Love?
01:24It doesn't really feel like at this point in time the Packers are.
01:29And so he got paid because all quarterbacks get paid unless you will Levis.
01:34But outside of that, most quarterbacks get paid.
01:36So the fact that they seem in disarray in a sense to have either misread Michael Parsons'
01:44injury or his return date or was keeping it shiny until they had to actually put it on
01:49paper for the gambling crowd to say, oh, he's out for the first four.
01:53And then this Josh Jacob thing's happened.
01:55And, you know, you're getting guys back.
01:58You're getting Tucker Kraft back.
01:59You're getting guys back who were out the entire year last year.
02:02And so to now have all this happen, really feeling like right before the season, kind
02:07of really takes the air out of what they're doing.
02:09Yeah.
02:09So obviously, like for me, I never considered the Packers as the top one of the top two
02:15teams in that division this year.
02:17I just didn't.
02:17And I have the Bears still as the cream of the crop of that division.
02:22I think they're going to be better than the Lions.
02:23And a lot of people think the Lions are going to have a bounce back year and be really,
02:27really good again.
02:27I still think they're going to be good, but I don't think they're going to be as good
02:30as the Bears.
02:30Now, I don't know how you feel about the NFC North in general, but for the Packers, for
02:36me, it wasn't really like, oh, my God, they can be a juggernaut if they had Micah Parsons.
02:40And while they were playing extremely well with Micah Parsons last year when he was on
02:44the field, I just I don't know.
02:46I didn't I didn't see it in totality.
02:50I you're I'm not a big Micah Parsons guy.
02:52OK, Micah Parsons is a smash a smash a splash play guy.
02:57He not a meat and potatoes guy.
02:59And so to me, Micah Parsons, as great as he is at getting the sack to end the game, the
03:06other the other statistics don't really meet up because I mean, I would say, how can you
03:11trade a guy like that if you're Dallas?
03:12But Cleveland just traded the best pass rusher walking the earth.
03:15So I guess that part is out.
03:17I guess they all they all are tradable.
03:19But in a situation like this, I really need to see him do more because, again, when he
03:25came back, all the reps, he was out of gas by the end of the game when he first got
03:31back.
03:31And I think that's probably what led to the injury.
03:33So I need to see Micah Parsons fully active, fully engaged and playing a full repertoire
03:40of snaps before I really give any type of judgment on what he's going to be with the
03:45Green Bay Packers, because right now Dallas seems to have won the trade.
03:50Yeah, Dallas actually got a really good package.
03:52Like when it first happened, I was like, yeah, OK, Green Bay is getting a really elite pass
03:58rusher, but Dallas kind of made out in that deal a lot, a lot.
04:02And then the turnaround now at this point in the season and to be questioning, you know,
04:07what's with the delay now?
04:08He's got to miss four games.
04:09You get the Josh Jacob thing to happen and it just it's too many questions.
04:14It's too many questions this close to the start of the season.
04:17And so now if is this a situation where they start turning their attention to Matt LaFleur?
04:22Because if Ben Johnson is saying, I like kicking his ass twice a year.
04:28If Ben Johnson kicks his ass twice a year, the people of Green Bay are going to stand
04:32for that because if it ain't nothing, Chicago's been a doormat for the Green Bay Packers for
04:3930 years, for 30 years.
04:42And if you turn that around and Chicago just starts handing Green Bay its lunch twice a
04:47year, what else they got in Green Bay?
04:50Nothing.
04:51I think you've said that before.
04:53Yeah.
04:53I don't have anything going on with it.
04:55That's all they got down there.
04:56That's all they got there.
04:57That's all they got there.
