01:31another powerful performance from the number one contender for the IWGP Global Heavyweight
01:35title Taichi alongside Hontai tonight and wrestling fans we are getting right into the
01:40action your heavyweight eight-man tag team matchup I'm Walker Stewart as always I'm being
01:44joined here tonight by the one and only Jacob Austin Young of United Empire and I got to tell
01:49you to get this one off I mean the Empire not looking too united for this year's tag league
01:55yeah I don't really feel like talking about that right now I'm still really pissed about
02:00last night longer so I understand stick to the action for now I'll tread lightly
02:13well Jacob I know that we've been putting the focus on the junior heavyweight division as it
02:17rightfully deserves but we have a lot of great and big matches coming up in Hiroshima Sun Plaza

05:07A block competition final league night for the a block in Super Junior Tag League these people cheering for Ta
05:14ichi my girlfriend's
05:15Least favorite wrestler really? Yeah, she hates Taichi
05:19It's actually my girlfriend's favorite wrestler. So really we have something to talk about. Yeah. Yeah, she likes
05:23hair
05:23I don't know she hates she comes out with a wireless mic
05:27It's like he's not even really attempting to lip-sync. How dare you?
05:32I can't believe that you would say something listen. It's it's my girlfriend saying it
05:36Well, she's saying it. She's watching. Oh, wow. That's
05:40quite a comment. I have to agree with her. Wow, man. That's that's low
05:45I'd like to hear you sing like Taichi can you want to go to karaoke? Well, okay. Maybe
05:50might take you up on that off
05:52All right, you know Johnny Cash?
05:55Do you know Johnny Cash?
05:57More than you know
05:59Let's get into the action here. Taichi your
06:01Challenger for the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship. Of course it is Shota U
06:06mino the
06:06Last man to challenge Gabe Kidd for the Global Heavyweight title here in New Japan
06:11Back in Ryogoku's small hall and it just felt like the energy was in the arena for
06:15us to see a title change for Umino to become a
06:17Two-time Global Champion at Kidd's expense, but it was not to be on that night, Jay
06:21I mean if I was a betting man, I don't necessarily know that I would bet on Shota
06:25Umino
06:25Just you know chance and chance that he's had. He's unfortunately not been able to
06:30Win most of them. He's he's done it. He's been the champion, but but more often than
06:35He doesn't find himself in those
06:37unfortunate opportunities where he loses
06:39It's really interesting. Of course, it's a the conversation. It's the same song and dance when it
06:43comes to
06:43Visiting athletes from AEW coming over to New Japan Pro Wrestling. Taichi's had a lot of
06:49negative to share about
06:50The Global Heavyweight Champion not being active on the tours not coming to towns like Kyoto. We're in
06:55tonight
06:56And kids have been very vocal about saying hey, I'm only here for the big money payday. So Hir
07:00Oshima to the Tokyo Dome
07:01Yeah, I mean once you get to that level you kind of have that right as a champion, you know
07:05I mean granted think of all the champions that are on this tour on this series
07:10That's a good point
07:12Singling out Gabe Pitt, you know
07:14Not necessarily fair
07:17Well, Taichi wants to bring the IWGP Global Heavyweight title home to the home tie
07:22unit in his mind
07:24And try and put down Shota Umino in the run-up to facing off against K
07:28idd one-on-one in Hiroshima
07:29As a big shoulder tackle they're not going to move Taichi just yet
07:37And off the ropes here big shoulder tackle
07:41And Taichi able to fire back with a boot
07:45The way that Taichi is able to just turn matches around on a dime that is going to be
07:48a big threat for Gabe Kidd coming up in Hiroshima
07:53Yeah, they'll never forget you know Taichi dangerous tee for a reason trained by Kawada
07:58I mean Kawada beat the shit out of him for
08:01So long right
08:02I mean he likes to you know give that back to people as he gets older
08:07I've heard Mike modest did the same to you at one point
08:09Yeah, Mike would do it with a laughing face
08:11Yeah
08:13And of course now here comes Yano

08:54Yeah, that's fair.
08:56What a couple of months it's been, though.
08:57Stealing away the World Television title from Konosuke Takeshita,

12:47Bortin Oleg
12:48Oh, he's going forever
12:49Wow, right over the top goes Yuya Uemura
12:55Boltin making everything he does inside that ring look so easy
13:01Oh, it's right out of the way though
13:03There was nothing easy about that landing for big boy Bolton
13:08Yeah, he needs to make a tag here
13:09Yeah, Uemura's been taking a lot of the damage so far
13:14And right now it is everyone trying to enter this
13:17When Nakahara, Taichi, they're shoving each other out the apron
13:19Trying to get this tag, Jay
13:20This is not, you know
13:22I would not let Nakahara tag in right here
13:24Yeah, not at all
13:26Especially against a man like Bolton Oleg
13:28What the hell is Nakahara going to be able to do
13:30Ooh
13:34You notice after that chop, Nakahara didn't want to tag in
13:37Anymore
13:37Yeah, yeah, yeah
13:38Oh
13:39Vertical whip of that left arm taped up as Bolton Oleg
13:44Right now
13:46Is it Ken Nakahara shoving Taichi
13:48He's falling into the damn ring here, Jay
13:50Oh, my God
13:50This kid is...what is it?
13:52Oh, and here's the tag, Nakahara

14:01Oh
14:01There you go
14:02Yes
14:04Yes
14:05Yes
14:05Nakahara's got to try and dodge and weave
14:09Stay quick on his feet here against a big athlete like Bolton Oleg
14:12Yes
14:16Nakahara underneath doing a great job at just that
14:18That dropkick not going to take Oleg down, but it's going to rock the beast
14:23Oh, going low, smart
14:26Wow
14:26Yeah, changing directions
14:28Yeah, three straight dropkicks taking down Oleg here
14:30I got a two
14:32It was very close for Nakahara
14:36Taisi Nakahara, you have to imagine a man who is trending a bit more junior heavy
14:42weight as a young lion
14:43Taking a lot of inspiration seeing young lions like Yasuda and a guy competing in this tournament
14:47Yeah, he needs to learn some rope work first
14:49Yeah, well
14:51Oh, Nakahara though
14:52Oh, this is dangerous
14:55And Taichi trying to come in for the assistance
14:57Here's the wall through
14:58Cover here for Nakahara
15:00Oh, and it's two
15:04There comes bread dad
15:05Double boots
15:07Yeah, and Umura and Taichi doing the damage tonight
15:10Nakahara jackknife for the cover
15:13No, nearly put down Oleg
15:15I think Taichi Nakahara has big dreams of facing Kenny Omega coming up in Hiroshima
15:22But uh, yeah, some dreams are meant to stay dreams
15:25Yeah
15:27And I think it's looking more like a nightmare for Nakahara
15:30Yeah
15:30Kamikaze
15:37It's a tough night at the office for this young lion
15:43I cannot believe he fell into the ring
15:45I cannot believe he fell into the ring
15:45I cannot believe he fell into the ring
15:49Well, a good little fighting warmup for Hontai I guess
15:57That's looking like it
16:01This is Nakahara, I think this kid's got a lot of energy, a lot of potential maybe,
16:05but tonight it was not his night against Bolton Oleg, I'll say that much
16:09Yeah
16:12Look at that
16:14I wouldn't say that I'm biggest fan of Hontai
16:16But, you know, I respect some legends
16:18We got bread dad there
16:19Look at him going to take care of the young lion
16:21I was talking, you know, my girlfriend's not the biggest fan of Taichi
16:24She loves, loves Kojima though
16:27Really? Wow
16:27Absolutely loves bread dad
16:30How could he not?
16:31Yeah
16:32Do you love children?
16:34I can appreciate a bread every now and again
16:36Do you enjoy bread?

17:30That's not true Walker
17:31I'm not built like Robbie Eagles
