00:00It's going to be an incredible night on January the 4th, but that's just one part of Wrestle
00:20Kingdom week. Sellouts all the way down the line. It's going to end with New Year Dash.
00:25Tickets available internationally right now on JPW1972.com. Look who's back. Tomohiro Ishii has returned.
00:36Taichi had promised the return of Ishii at Wrestle Kingdom.
00:43And we'll tell you in just a little while as to why and the origins for that.
00:47And perhaps the beginnings. Not a Team 100, but Team 150.
00:55This is going to be a roller coaster here tonight, folks. I've already got a distinct feeling.
01:09And that is the feeling that's going to carry us in to the start of January.
01:23Wrestle Kingdom New Year Dash on January the 3rd, our annual Fan Fest. We welcome you to join the public press conference freeway here on NJPW World.
01:35January 2nd, Walker Stewart and I will be meeting fans in Ebratus. We're going to have a live edition of the official English podcast, but Wrestle Kingdom week starts on December the 29th.
01:47And we want to encourage you to follow at we underscore R underscore stardom for all the information on Dream Queendom. Dream Queendom.
02:09Dream Queendom. Easy for me to say. Live English on Pay Per View from Miyogoku Sumo Hall.
02:23And what a way it will be to start your Wrestle Kingdom week with the very best female athletes in the world.
02:31And the very start of the card at Wrestle Kingdom 20, at least we think.
02:41Apparently we've got a TV title match added to Wrestle Kingdom.
02:45But kicking off Wrestle Kingdom, at least as far as our current run sheet is concerned, is the never-openweight six-man Tornado Rambo match.
02:55First time ever.
03:00One team after another are going to be making their entrance in one minute intervals.
03:18Elimination by pinfall submission being thrown over the top rope.
03:22If one member of a team is eliminated, well then that means the whole team is gone.
03:29So for the champions Torriano, Mastowato and Yo, their titles have never been to add more risk.
03:38That's the way they've won it.
03:39Especially when it concerns the quality of competition.
03:43Here you already see, for the most part, two of the teams who will be involved.
03:48We don't know how many teams will be involved.
03:50But when you look at Taiti Kojima and Tomohiro Ishii, who are going to be making one of those teams.
03:57Tiger Mask, I believe, might be involved in one of their, I think that was talks with him with Togi Makabe.
04:05And Yusuke Tiyuchi, that's a potential team right there.
04:09And, well, I think that the ringers have to be the combination of Bishmon, Hiroki Goto and Yoshi Ashi and Bolton Oleg.
04:16They said they wanted in.
04:17And this, that's more than a revolution right there.
04:21I think it's almost too unfair.
04:23You might as well just throw the whole lot out.
04:26I mean, if I was in that Rambo, I would just jump over the top rope myself and be done with it.
04:35Remember, openweight 6-9.
04:39Tornado Rambo, folks, is going to be a chaotic one indeed.
04:51And when Tork turns to Rambo's, you have to talk about Hiroki Goto and the way that he started his 20-25 winning that Rambo.
05:10And earning a shot at the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.
05:15A championship he went on to hold right the way through to the summit.
05:20And reporting all how rough,碁 Goto, okay, alright.
05:23Have all they had the team set?
05:24Good luck shot!
05:26Peace!
05:27That's okay!
05:29NishIKI, Ang tide's now.
05:30Goto, I saree, you must be.
05:33剛 through a Sumo match.
05:34Goto, I'm not!
05:37Let's go through Sumo match.
05:39sewing match.
05:40Ximokake ακrip start in December 29th, Dream Caitough.
05:44It's in Ingogoku Sumo Hall.
05:48And as I heard, extremely close to a sellout, I believe might have already sold out at this point.
05:55And headlining that, Saya Kamitani putting the World of Stardom Championship along the line against Sariano.
06:04Saya, the MVP, Tokyo Sports MVP, the very first woman to win the MVP award since Tokyo Sports started their awards all the way back in 1972.
06:16Congratulations to her, and of course, she'll be a part of Wrestle Kingdom.
06:22Double Championship match, NJPW Strong Women's Champion Saya Kamitani against the IWGP Women's Champion, Yung Shuri.
06:32Sochi now bowled over, and Goto and Yoshi Ashi get going. Goto and Yoshi Ashi with Ishii.
06:39Really two-thirds, I would argue, of the greatest never overweight six-man champions of all time was that combination of Goto, Yoshi Ashi and Ishii.
06:50And when you swap out Ishii for Bolton Oleg, well, that might be an even better team.
06:55That championship was Yoshi Ashii's first ever title, won it during the pandemic, and really it was rough, rough times in the pandemic.
07:06And as we all struggled under the gun of all these restrictions, we never thought we'd see a sold-out Koroko in Hall crowd again.
07:14And it won a sold-out Tokyo-Dong.
07:17It was those matches that Gojo, Yoshi Ashii and Ishii had with those never six-man titles that really were the heartbeat of New Japan Pro Wrestling at the time.
07:26Yoshi Ashii working over the neck of Taichi here.
07:39Yoshi Ashii and Taichi closely tied at different points of their careers.
07:49Kojima waiting on the apron and calling out the plays to Taichi.
07:55Taichi and Kojima during World Tag League formed the team of Team 100.
08:02Named such because of their respective ages.
08:05Kojima 55, Taichi at 45.
08:08And there was an indication to put their differences behind them and show that even at their advanced status in their careers they could still get results.
08:20And they certainly put up great performances but did not get results.
08:23only put two points on the board.
08:25That led to a lot of arguments.
08:26Taichi said, you have to show me you're motivated.
08:30And you have to show my partner you're motivated.
08:33Said that Tomohiro Ishii was coming back in time for Tokyo-Dong.
08:38And so now with, well Ishii himself just turning 50 recently, it'll be Team 150.
08:45One of the number six man Tornado Rambo entrants.
08:49Kojima wears the apron now.
08:51One, four, four, four.
08:54Chops on the menu.
08:58Kojima a former never overweight six man champion himself.
09:04Whoa, he's still going.
09:07How's that for motivation?
09:09He has lip bolted up, my goodness.
09:13He's gonna go for it.
09:16It's the Itchao part, I'm gonna repeat the last bit.
09:22Uh-oh, left himself vulnerable to Kojima, but floats over it.
09:30Roll an elbow there, kick to the other guy, and signature DDT.
09:39Stoshi Kojima made his Sokodo debut way back in 1996, when he returned from excursion
09:59from Germany, his first match back against his friend and rival Hiroyoshi Tenzan.
10:07He beat the TAR out of one another in the Tokyo Dome that night.
10:1230 years on will be a part of this Tornado Rambo, which will be the 10th anniversary, and then
10:19the celebration for the never 0.6-man championships.
10:22Yoshihashi nearly got the three there, Yoshihashi got the left shoulder up.
10:27Yoshihashi, Yoshihashi, Yoshihashi!
10:29Yoshihashi, Yoshihashi!
10:31Look out here, Kojikoji Kata drops.
10:37Yoshihashi down.
10:39Heijima needs to make the tag, and he does, Tiger Mask gets the entrance.
10:47Now Tiger Mask notoriously, a bit of a Grinch, he hates Christmas, and that always means that
10:53he gets extra salty with these kicks and chops and strikes right around this time of the year.
10:59He'll be his last Christmas as an active competitor for Tiger Mask.
11:05He'll be hanging up the boots come June of 2026.
11:15Tiger Mask looking to make a mark on his last ever appearance in the Tokyo Dome, January the 4th.
11:20Oh, Yoshihashi's sitting in the path now.
11:23A little bit of miscommunication, but we'll get there.
11:25It doesn't really matter as long as you're communicating with your heavy left foot.
11:31Tiger Mask sinks him up.
11:32Here we go.
11:33Tiger Driver on the heavyweight.
11:35Here's the shoulders are down.
11:36Tiger Mask nearly got it.
11:38Bolton looks like a bull in a china shop there.
11:42Who in the way is, and that's really the only way you can deal
11:46in this Rambo environment is just to try and get the high ground and get some distance.
11:53Keep Bolton as far out the way as possible.
12:00Kangaroo kick here.
12:01It's all about crowd control.
12:02It's certainly going to be the case in the Tokyo Dome.
12:05They're going to be entering three at a time at one minute intervals.
12:09And then you're going to have Bolton who's going to pitch and swing and beer and
12:13So you go, you can might as well throw Tiger Mask over the top rope.
12:23You're going to have so many bodies, three at a time, one minute intervals inside the Tokyo Dome.
12:29Crowd control is going to be nearly impossible.
12:35And they've got control of Tiger Mask here.
12:37He said, no, the Shoto variant of the Violent Flash.
12:43No, no, no, Bolton.
12:46God, good grip.
12:48The show, that is over, that is over.
12:55The people, Shoto.
12:56Well, that is good night and a half.
13:07There is the Violent Flash into the Shoto with an added Bolton splash on top.
13:17That is a triple team finish, if I've ever seen one.
13:21Right this day, folks, my pick, hands down.
13:25I've been the far on these three, winning the Tornado Rambo inside the Tokyo Dome.
13:37Now, there is Josh Kojima has something to answer for here.
13:41I think he has certainly showed himself.
13:44With the topcar he was certainly fired up.
13:50It wasn't him that took the fall but Taichi is still...
13:53Well, there is Josh Kojima has something to answer for here.
13:58Kojima has something to answer for here.
14:00I think he's certainly showed himself, he was certainly fired up.
14:03It wasn't him that took the fall, but Taichi is still hopping mad here.
14:14This is two-thirds of crunching teams.
14:16Taichi and Ishii certainly get along pretty great.
14:19Former IWGP Tag Team Champions.
14:21Taichi was asking Ishii to slap some sense into Kojima.
14:44Kojima, if you really want in, we have to win this, says Taichi.
14:51If you want to win this game, you will win this game!
14:54Okay.
14:57Taichi is saying, all right, let's do it.
14:59Let's take these Never titles, the shake of the hands.
15:06And Ishii officially back in the fold.
15:09Sometimes there is no substitute for some grizzled, miserable old bastards that can kick a lot of ass.
15:25And that might be the key for Team 150 in 13 days' time in the Tokidom.
15:34When you talk about the Never 0.6 Man Tag Team Championships, we have to mention the champions themselves.
15:36Mastuato, Yoke, and Toriano, they're in action up next.
15:37Ten-man Tag Team action, in fact.
15:38We have to bring the mood down at least a little bit.
15:39House of Torture will be here as well.
15:40Five of five, ten-man Tag Team action up next.
15:41As we roll on right here in NJPW1.
15:47Have a good day.
15:49And we have to bring the mood down at least a little bit.
15:50House of Torture will be here as well.
15:51Five of five, ten-man Tag Team action up next.
15:54As we roll on right here in NJPW1.
15:55tag team action in fact oh we have to bring the mood down at least a little bit how's the torture
16:00will be here as well five on five tipman tag team action up next as we roll on right here in njpw1
