00:12you back to the impeachment public impeachment of the CEC now remember just a little while back
00:19what we did see was Meera Kumar who's the former speaker and now the presiding officer for this
00:26session came in with her opening remarks and then Malikarjun Kargay the leader of the opposition
00:31of the upper house and of course the opening the person to in fact begin the proceedings and
00:38move the motion in this case the congress president Malikarjun Kargay whose residence
00:43this entire event is taking place he came in to address the entire gathering of leaders of the
00:49india bloc uh opposition unit as well as come in with six charges let me quickly take you through
00:57what exactly are these six charges that's been these are the major complaints sets and the demands
01:02one may also say allegations and demands both that have been levied by the opposition block against
01:08the cc number one is that he conspired to steal the elections on behalf of the bjp number two
01:15is the deletion of the 13.2 crore voters through the sir process number three he rewrote form six
01:24without the parliament's nod on it which is basically form seven that was in fact introduced as well as
01:30the modification that was in fact made in the form six wherein there were names of uh parents
01:38grandparents that were also names identification numbers and their documents that were also required in
01:43the to file in and fill in the form six that was also raised again number four seized the roles
01:50through the eci net the eci net and the malfunctioning of the eci net was also pointed out in that
01:56very
01:57report from which this entire controversy began that media report from which the entire controversy began
02:02number five shut out the other two commissioners which of course the election commission themselves have
02:08come out to deny as an allegation several times that there is no such uh dissent within themselves
02:16they are a united body of course there are differences in opinions at times but there is
02:21no move that's been taken without uh considering the decisions and the opinions of the other two
02:27election commissioners but the charge continues to be pressed on by the by the opposition unit led by the
02:32congress and last but not the least acted at the behest of prime minister modi and home minister shah
02:38this is what they have to in fact press on this is the ultimate charge they have come out to
02:44say
02:44and press on against the cec that he acts on the behest of the prime minister and the home minister
02:51he
02:52works on behalf of them big allegations viewers that we're looking at a symbolic impeachment that's
02:57currently underway i'm being joined by my colleagues who are currently bringing us all the latest
03:03updates from karge's residence itself rahul gotham in fact joining me right now with more details rahul
03:11the opening statements have come in uh from both meera kumar and uh malikarjun karge who's moved the
03:18very motion itself uh six big charges that have been pressed on by and announced by malikarjun karge
03:26and a simple uh message out there that we're not heard in the parliament we'll do it ourselves
03:32here at least let the public see what we have to say which they don't let us express inside the
03:37parliament how are you looking at the proceedings so far
03:45well that's what opposition is decrying that they are not being heard uh you know that that that their
03:50grievances are not addressed uh by the incumbent uh you know chair speaker uh you know
03:56parliamentary affairs minister and that's why they were they were left with no other option but to
04:00hold this symbolic uh public impeachment as they are calling it uh you know the motion has already
04:06been initiated by malikarjun karge uh lop ratia sabha now we've been informed that uh sagarika khosh
04:13from tmc uh harindra malik from samajbadi party john bittas from cpm uh all these leaders are going to
04:20speak uh on the motion and then the motion would be concluded by rahul gandhi we must also tell our
04:26viewers that sir lh victims will also be allowed to have an audience here at this uh you know replica
04:34of parliament or the proceedings which are still underway i've been informed that the members of civil
04:39society students everybody would be given a platform to voice their uh concern about the uh
04:45uh functioning of csd gyanesh kumar the opposition is absolutely convinced uh that they have lost hope
04:52and confidence uh in csd gyanesh kumar and whatever uh you know uh gyanesh kumar is actually acting at
04:58the behest of the bjp uh and you know uh pm modi and home minister amisha and he's actually subverting
05:05the democracy itself i'll just show you some of the visuals here that what really happening here
05:09uh you can see uh i'll i'll just get you in a word also uh uh uh you know the

05:15here uh uh uh mr vibek tankha is here uh uh mr tankha you've come uh uh uh so uh
05:24the bjp is saying
05:25that you're making mockery of democracy uh you're holding uh uh you know public impeachment at a replica
05:31of parliament it's a mockery of parliament this public needs to decide who's making a mockery of the
05:38democracy whether we are making or the bjp has the parliament been allowed to function was the
05:45impeachment motion given by 190 plus mps even taken up for discussion what are you doing
05:52you are not even answering anything not even honestly answering to the court so several leaders
05:58still arriving at the residence of malikarjan karge where the proceedings of uh the entire public
06:06impeachment of the cc has begun we are keeping a track of all of those details how the entire
06:11proceedings continue what all uh do the rest of the 21 leaders who will be speaking from the opposition
06:17side have to say and the sr complainants have to say at last rahul gandhi himself has to come in
06:24and
