00:00Big game last night for the Green Bay Packers, and anytime you're at Lambeau Field, you know it's a legendary
00:05place.
00:06Really a football team that kind of stumbled out of the gate.
00:09Carolina has been wobbling back and forth a little bit.
00:12It was a pretty good football game last night.
00:14Went back and forth a little bit, 27-19.
00:17The Green Bay Packers end up getting that victory and now run their record to 5-3.
00:22Matt LaFleur, happy to get the win.
00:23Happy that we came out with a W.
00:26I thought our defense played outstanding.
00:30You know, to hold an offense like that that is capable of generating a lot of explosive plays down most
00:36of the game.
00:37And then really kind of saving the day in the second half.
00:40Get a lot going offensively.
00:43Great performance.
00:44And I was just proud of our guys.
00:46Just the effort and the energy they brought, you know, on a short week.
00:52I thought we responded well, and we've got to continue doing that moving forward.
00:57Man, I've got to tell you, Jonathan Gannon, the former Arizona head coach, has done a whale of a job
01:02with that defense and really settled the ship a little bit there for Green Bay.
01:06Not a very good offensive line, but that defense is bringing pressure, and they're getting Michael Parsons back next week.
01:12So, Green Bay, look out.
01:14You've got something special going on.
01:15And right now, Jordan Love knows it's all about really stacking wins.
01:20I think it's always about stacking.
01:23We talk about it all the time, just improving week to week.
01:25So, we'll look at the film.
01:27There's going to be a lot of stuff we'll want to improve on and keep getting better at.
01:30But like you said, you know, heading into a little mini-buy, getting close to this halfway point of the
01:35season.
01:37It's where we've just got to keep building, keep rolling.
01:39Offensively, we've got to keep just leaning on the stuff that's working, keep finding out what's working for us as
01:44a unit.
01:46And, yeah, I think just get guys back healthy.
01:49And, obviously, it's about trying to find ways to get rolling, keep stacking wins.
01:54Really had a great night last night.
01:56And you're starting to see the guys start to throw up a little bit more consistency.
02:00I've always thought he was a really streaky quarterback, Jordan Love.
02:04But last night, I thought, look at the numbers here, man.
02:06I thought he was pretty good last night.
02:08288 passes, three touchdowns, 30 of 41.
02:11Damn good.
02:11They keep that kind of performance going, and you get Tucker Craft going in that football game, Green Bay is
02:17going to be something to look at.
02:19Now, on the other side, no question, one of my favorite coaches, I love Dave Canales, the Carolina Panthers head
02:24coach.
02:24Tough place to work when you've got an owner like a David Tepper.
02:28And I really think, look, I think this football team is still going to be in contention for the NFC
02:32South.
02:33But he knows this.
02:34Look, the guys fought hard, but that's not good enough in the National Football League.
02:38Loved the fight in the group.
02:39Didn't expect anything less.
02:40The guys kept battling all the way through.
02:43Gave us some opportunities at the end, making it a one-score game right there.
02:47Tried to go for two, down 14.
02:49Then we could decide what's happening on the last one on the road.
02:51Win it on a Thursday night.
02:54And that's the way I saw it going in my mind.
02:55We didn't execute.
02:57First of all, a lot of love to the Packers.
02:59A great game plan made us one-dimensional.
03:01Got after us in the rush.
03:03Got after us with the blitzes.
03:04Things that we've been talking about, you know, for the last couple of weeks and things that we need to
03:08really press in on as a group.
03:11Players, coaches as well to figure out and make sure we have a good plan for what that looks like
03:16and making sure we get positive yardage there.
03:19You know, certainly the turnovers.
03:21I mean, right off the bat, the kickoff coverage unit, a physical play, ball on the ground, three points right
03:26there.
03:26We got to turn that into seven.
03:28And then the defense getting us the ball back a couple of times to give us some opportunities in a
03:32game like this.
03:33It matters.
03:34And when you win the turnover battle, you know, if we can function the way we know how, making sure
03:39we're coming away with points right there, then all of a sudden you flip the thing.
03:42And the Packers did a good job of responding to some of that adversity.
03:46And, again, just kind of came down to the end and didn't finish on that last drive.
03:51Man, some breaking news here also, too, by Ian Rappaport here, that the Panthers, after that game last night, ended
03:57up firing their defensive coordinator and their passing game coordinator there, Jonathan Cooley, too.
04:02So, obviously not very happy with the performance on that side of the football.
04:06And, again, on the other side, with Jonathan Gannon and the job that he's done with the Packers, that was,
04:11without a doubt, an enormous victory for Green Bay as they move forward here.
04:15Bryce Young, too, also knows, man, you know, he's got to play better, too, and his football team's got to
04:20play better.
04:20I say this all the time about Bryce.
04:22If this guy was 6'3", he might be the best quarterback in pro football.
04:26But they got to get it.
04:28They've won, or they ended up fighting.
04:30They fought hard in this ballgame, but that's not good enough.
04:33He's got to finish better.
04:34That's what we hang our hat on.
04:35That's our calling card, and we didn't get that done today.
04:37That's not acceptable.
04:39We fought.
04:40It was very, you know, it was ugly, and defense stepped up, gave us a shot.
04:45Special teams in the same way.
04:48Again, we have to finish.
04:51That's all it's about.
04:53All right, man.
04:54This is going to be one of my favorite, favorite bites here because Big Sills has a wrestling background, too.
05:01Last night, I'm watching something from the WWE, man.
05:04I mean, this is like SmackDown.
05:05Guy goes in an ambulance.
05:07He comes back, and all of a sudden, you're looking there, and you see him.
05:11He's back out on the field, Christian Watson, and he goes back out there and plays.
05:15I got to say, man, one of my producers, Chris, he says, hey, man, come on, Packer, guys.
05:19You got to be a little tougher than this.
05:21Yeah, no, it was super dramatic.
05:23Honestly, I felt like I was, you know, watching, you know, I used to watch WWE.
05:28Come on, dog.
05:29I felt like I was watching WWE SmackDown vs. Raw or something out there.
05:35You know, seeing the cameras on me when I was coming out of the ambulance, that was a little crazy.
05:39It's just like Paul Pierce's son.
05:41It's a surreal experience, no doubt, just to go through that and have, you know, the fans, you know, cheering
05:44for me.
05:45Being back out there was definitely exciting.
